How do Bee My Boo Beeswax Wraps work?

Cover your desired item with your Bee My Boo Beeswax Wrap, use your hands to wrap the item. The warmth from your hands activates the Beeswax natural properties that allow it to secure itself across kitchenware and fresh produce. The Beeswax Wrap will hold its seal once it starts to cool down.

Plus, the Beeswax Wrap allows your food to breathe.

Keep anything covered – cheese, fruit, dough, veg, bread, herbs!

We recommend you don’t use our wraps for raw meat or fish.

What are Beeswax Wraps made of?

Our Beeswax Wraps are made of organic GOTS certified cotton, beeswax, tree resin and organic jojoba oil.

What does GOTS certified mean?

GOTS Certified Organics. The Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) is a standard used around the world, which guarantees that the organic products you bring into your home are healthy and safe for you and the environment – and provide a fair working environment for those who manufacture them.

How long will my Beeswax Wraps last for?

Bee My Boo wraps can last up to 6 months or more. After a couple of uses, creases may appear where the wrap has been folded. This is a natural part of aging for the wraps and does not affect the sealability of the wrap.

Due to its natural construction, the beeswax wraps can sometimes become a little rough to the touch after continued use. In this case, simply place wraps on a flat tray, pop them in the oven (approx. 180°C) for around 10-20 seconds and the wraps will be effortlessly renewed.

When your Bee My Boo Beeswax Wraps life comes to an end you can add it to the compost.

Can I put Beeswax Wraps in the freezer?

Of course! Bee My Boo wraps last up to a month in the freezer. When you remove from the freezer allow to come to room temperature before unfolding.

Are there different sizes of Beeswax Wraps?

Currently, we have 3 sizes.

Small Beeswax Wrap 17.5cm x 20cm

Seal small jars, use as a pouch for snacks, cover sliced fruit and veg.

Medium Beeswax Wrap 25cm x 27.5cm

Ideal for your lunch box! Wrap small sandwiches and wraps.

Large Beeswax Wrap 33cm x 34cm

Cover bowls of leftover meals or food prepared in advance. Wrap large sandwiches and wraps.

Extra Large Beeswax Wrap 35cm x 53cm

Wrap bread, cover large baking dishes.

How to revive beeswax food wraps

You can revive wraps that become dry by placing on a baking sheet in oven (150°) for a 1-2 minutes (check from 30 seconds as you just want to melt the wax). When you take out of the oven hold by the corners until it cools and the wax hardens. Be careful not to burn your fingers!
